X Factor boyband Union J are learning the hard price of fame after they were forced to dramatically up their security levels when fans managed to sneak into their hotel.

The band's security was stepped up a notch when the group of obsessed fans sneaked their way past security at the plush London Corinthia Hotel.

The foursome – comprised of George Shelley, Jaymi Hensley, Josh Cuthbert and Jamie 'JJ' Hamblett – were dealt a shock when they realised the fans had managed to make it up to their corridor in the hotel and wait outside their rooms.

Josh told The Sun: 'Fans have broken into the hotel twice now. One of the times they were right outside our rooms in the corridor.

'We could see them trying to work out which rooms we were in before someone noticed and they were removed by two beefy security lads. Since then our security has been at least five or six times tighter.'

George added how the hotel have even seen the interest in bar jobs soar as eager girls have been handing in their CVs in the hope of getting closer to their idols.

He explained: 'The hotel has also had about 50 CVs from girls who are desperate to work in the bar since we all moved in. It's just mental.

'We're just normal guys doing our thing and it's crazy to think girls would chase us around and want to be near us all the time.'

The boys have even stopped using the hotel's main entrance, using the back exit instead to avoid being mobbed by girls waiting for them outside.

George continued: 'We can't leave through the front of the hotel any more, we have to go out the back way. And some girls stay outside all night so they can see us.

'It's absolutely freezing out there at the moment — where are their mums? But it is lovely all of these people are supporting us.'

Union J found themselves in the bottom two on Sunday night after performing Beyonce's Sweet Dreams for The X Factor's Halloween special on Saturday.

They then faced the sing off against Jade Ellis, choosing to sing Pink's Less Than Perfect which won them the judges' vote and saw them through to next week's show as Jade was sent home.

Do you think Jade Ellis was the right act to go on Sunday night's results show?
