EXCLUSIVE: Michael Vaughan has slammed the Strictly Come Dancing judges for failing to acknowledge his progress in the show.
The former cricketing pro has admitted the continuous flow of negative comments from Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Len Goodman are starting to take their toll.
He told Metro: 'I don't put 20-odd hours in practising every week just to get to that final stage and the judges just to crucify you.
'I just want them to say all my hard work is paying off, that's what I'm after.
'Darcey and Len said I'd improved last week and that's what it's all about. Every week you get a little better.'
Nevertheless, the 37-year-old hopeful is determined to win over the tough panel with his Quickstep on tonight's show.
'I've trained harder in this week than I ever did in cricket because I've had to,' he added.
'Hopefully I'll be in time. Hopefully I'll get off to a good start.
'I'm going to try to keep my posture upright and I'll just hope my quickstep goes to sync.'
Tonight's Halloween-themed show will see Michael and his professional dance partner Natalie strut their stuff to That Old Black Magic.
'I'm a magician this week so hopefully I can cast a spell on the judges,' he added.
