Strictly Come Dancing's Sid Own received his lowest score of the series again while Olympian Louis Smith was praised for his routine, which bagged him three 9s.

The Strictly Come Dancing celebrities took to the floor for the Halloween special of the dancing competition, with the likes of Dani Harmer, Lisa Riley and Colin Salmon showing off their moves.

Former Eastenders star Sid Owen, who failed to impress the judges last week, yet again received another pasting from Craig Revel-Horwood who slammed his Ghostbusters routine as a 'Halloween nightmare' and didn't elaborate. He gave their performance just a score of 2.

Following their cha-cha-cha, they received 17, the same score as last week and still their lowest score to date.

Smith's tango with partner Flavia Cacace was clearly the performance of the night, putting the duo at the top of the leader board, with judge Len Goodman saying it was the 'best tango of the night'.

Victoria and her partner Brendan Cole were hailed as 'brilliant' by Craig, which gave them a score of 31 - putting them top of the leader board.

The cyclist's tango saw her called the 'queen of the tango' by Darcey Bussell.

Meanwhile, Nicky Byrne and his partner Karen performed a Frankenstein-style routine to Weird Science, and was criticised for his footwork by all four judges. Their score at the end of the dance was 26.

Host Bruce Forsyth managed to get himself trending on Twitter, after responding on-air to a tweet from Byrne saying he shouldn't be using slang. Forsyth said: 'It was totes inappropes, and I just hope I don't start trending - hashtag, "Bruce is sorry"'.

Predictably, viewers took to the social networking website and got the hashtag trending.

User seabiscuit wrote: '#bruceissorry is the best tweet I could write. Haha!' while Sinead Grimes said: 'Bruce is totes amazeballs #BruceIsSorry #StrictlyComeDancing'.
