EXCLUSIVE: X Factor boyband Union J reckon Ella Henderson is their biggest threat in the competition and claim Rylan Clark deserves to be on the show more than anyone else.

JJ Hamblett, Josh Cuthbert, Jaymi Hensley and George Shelley are determined to nab the winner's crown this series, but think 16-year-old Ella is the main act standing in their way.

Speaking at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Of The Year Awards 2012 in London last night, George Shelley told Metro: 'You guys see her on TV but we see her rehearsing all the time and she is just unreal.'

Probed on how they felt about Gary Barlow saying 'joke act' Rylan doesn't deserve a place on the show, Jaymi said: 'He deserves to be here more than everybody. He works harder than all of us every week.

'He gets a lot of stick but he's the most genuine guy, he's like a big brother to us. What you see is what you get and I think the public realise that now. That's why the public are keeping him in every week.'

And despite the stiff competition, the boys are more focused than ever after finding themselves in the sing-off with Jade Ellis last weekend.

'Obviously the competition's so tough anyone can be in the bottom two. But we're not going to let it get us down, we're going to concentrate on the goal which is to hopefully win The X Factor,' Jaymi explained.

'We've got to learn from District 3, they were in the bottom two in the second week and they've come back fighting fit. We've got to get back up there and prove we deserve our place.'

'This week were going to go out there and have fun and be like we were at judges' houses,' JJ added.

And the boys were quick to deny that their mentor Louis Walsh had been letting them slip by the wayside after their rival boyband narrowly escaped elimination two weeks ago.

'Louis is absolutely the dream mentor,' Jaymi raved. 'From his reaction to us being in the bottom two you can tell he really cares.'

'He's like the fifth member of the band,' Josh added.
