Caroline Flack has reportedly rejected advances from The X Factor's James Arthur as she goes make-up free for Children In Need's BareFaced campaign.

Wannabe James, 24, has taken a shine to the 32-year-old Xtra Factor host after the pair hit it off at Judges' Houses.

But Caroline - who last year dated 18-year-old X Factor export Harry Styles - has already stifled the backstage flirting.

'James is smitten with Caroline. He asked her out on a date but she said no,' an insider told Star magazine.

'Caroline thinks he is good looking and of course she is flattered.

'But she doesn't fancy him and told him that they can't take it any further than just friends.'

But it's no wonder James got the wrong end of the stick after the bubbly presenter opened up about his touching performances earlier this month.

'When he sings it gets you there and I don't think we've had that before with an X Factor contestant,' she told Metro.

'It's almost like you want to fix him a little bit.'

Meanwhile, the pretty TV host has gone barefaced for celebrity photographer Rankin in a bid to encourage women to go without make-up for the day on November 9.

Caroline said: 'I was honoured to be asked to support Children In Need's BearFaced campaign. While I was apprehensive at baring all, it was a great experience.

'I hope everyone digs deep for this great charity.'
