The social impact list takes into consideration all forms of popular social network activity, including Facebook likes, Twitter followers and YouTube views.
According to social chart Starcount, the Live While We're Young singers - who finished in third place behind Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson in 2010 - amassed a grand total of 117.5 million points.
X Factor 2006 winner Leona Lewis scooped second place with 27.8m points, while Cheryl Cole former mini-me Cher Lloyd secured third place with 26m points.
Last year's winners Little Mix are in fourth position with 9.7 million points and Cardle is in fifth.
Frankie Cocozza and Jedward also made it into the top ten.
