They might have argued on TV over the weekend, but X Factor judges Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh appeared to be back on speaking terms last night.

The pair were spotted joining fellow judges Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa Contostavlos, show host Dermot O'Leary and executive producer Richard Holloway as they dined at the Arts Club in Mayfair.

And while Barlow remained grim-faced as he arrived for dinner, Walsh seemed to be in good spirits - as was seen when he left the club later looking somewhat worse for wear.

Tulisa, meanwhile, went for an understated look for the meal, wearing a simple black lace dress and minimal make-up, while Nicole Scherzinger donned a black top and patterned skirt which she teamed with a bold red bag.

The six almost certainly had plenty to talk about over dinner following Sunday's controversial result which led to Barlow storming off the set.

The Take That singer was left fuming after Louis' decision to send the vote to deadlock rather than send home singer Rylan Clark - which ultimately led to Carolynne Poole leaving the show after polling the lowest number of public votes.

The result also sparked anger among viewers, with speculation that the outcome had been 'fixed' after Holloway had been seen talking to Walsh during the sing-off.

Barlow reportedly said over dinner said that he will return to the show at the weekend but has issued a stark warning to producers to 'put a stop to tricks' - and has said he will quit the show if there are any more similar dramas.

'Gary is fiercely proud of his reputation and signed up for the show because he wanted to nurture genuine talent,'a show insider told The Sun.

'The reason he wanted to be on it was to put a stop to these tricks, and to stop insulting the artists and viewers.

'The pantomime some of his fellow judges bring to the show drives him insane, and he believes it undermines the credibility of the whole show. Sunday's antics infuriated him. He was livid.'

This weekend's show will see the twelve remaining acts tackle songs with the theme of love and heartbreak.
