Skyfall's Javier Bardem 'bans journo for asking personal question'

Skyfall's Javier Bardem is proving just as lethal off screen as on. The Bond villain allegedly booted out a reporter for asking a 'personal' question during a round-table interview at London's The Dorchester hotel.

The Spaniard, who is married to Penélope Cruz and plays Daniel Craig's nemesis Raoul Silva, wasn't having it when one member of the press breached the ban.

'A reporter was ordered to leave the event after trying to ask Javier personal questions outside of Skyfall,' said a source.

Organisers had 'no comment' to make about the disagreement, while the star's spokesman told Metro he had 'no knowledge of it'.

After he calmed down Bardem admitted, unlike Daniel Craig, he wasn't too keen on doing stunts.

'I'm a great believer in a stunt double,' said the 43-year-old.

'I think stuntmen do an amazing job. I saw Daniel doing it himself and I was scared. He's so well-prepared and he's so committed.'

Bardem also revealed how Craig asked him if he wanted a part in a Bond film two years ago.

'It was at this private event and he came to me and we introduced each other and he asked me if I would ever be interested in doing a James Bond movie with him and Sam [Mendes].

'I said ''that sounds pretty cool'', and it's funny because I didn't know him.'

He paid tribute to how Skyfall director Mendes handled filming saying: 'Sometimes, I felt like we were doing a low budget independent movie.

'But what he did was extraordinary because he brought the essence of a Bond movie and its classic aspects and combined them with something more rounded.'
