Gary Barlow's act was reinstated to the competition after winning the 'wildcard' ahead of the first live show, but has since been dogged by reports he is unpopular with his fellow contestants.
Viewers have seen Christopher struggle to deal with his nerves on the show, but it later emerged he regularly performed in front of hundreds of people as a cruise ship singer.
Now the hopeful has found himself embroiled in further controversy, with reports suggesting he has received a warning from show executives after being rude to a member of staff.
According to The Sun, Maloney was rapped after shouting at a researcher, with a show source saying: 'Christopher is not making many friends.
'He was out of line with a researcher and he's been warned by top brass that he needs to wind his neck in or he'll get the shove.'
The news is likely to dent his chances of staying in the competition, with Christopher already the hot favourite to leave the show this week.
Ladbrokes have given odds of 5/2 that he leaves on Sunday, with District 3 just behind at 3/1.
