Gary Barlow has vowed to stick by Carolynne Poole after she was axed from The X Factor at the weekend.
The Take That star was left devastated after Carolynne was sent packing at the weekend, storming off set when Dermot O'Leary revealed the pretty brunette had been booted out of the competition.
And it would seem Gary is struggling to come to terms with Louis Walsh's decision to take the vote to deadlock after the country singer's impressive sing-off with Rylan Clark on Sunday's show.
The head judge tweeted yesterday: 'Been hard to get motivated today. @CarolynnePoole good luck. Anything you need I'm here.'
Caroylnne then retweeted the message before clarifying comments she made about her untimely exit after the results.
She said this afternoon: 'Hey tweeps! I see some of the papers have quoted me wrong today... So just to clear it up... I didn't say I thought it was engineered I said its got everyone talking and that's wot the show is about!
'I never implied I thought the show was fixed, only expressed how p'd off I was that Louis attention was distracted while I was singing my save me song!
'That's wot gutted me as obviously I his full attention.'
She went on to defend Rylan, who many believe doesn't deserve a place on next week's show.
'Please don't say hurtful things to Rylan, he's just doing his thing and ultimately the public voted him in. X' she added.
And it would appear Rylan is equally sad Carolynne has been axed from the ITV show.
He tweeted: '@CarolynnePoole missing you so much at the hotel. Your one of the bestest friends I could of asked for and love you with all my heart xxx'
