Katie Price agreed to a Rylan Clark duet as it emerged half of The X Factor finalists were scouted by the show's research team.
Cry baby Rylan has been friends with Katie ever since he entered her modelling TV show Signed By Katie Price last year.
And as his popularity soars, Price has taken the opportunity to relaunch her miserable singing career.
Admitting the pair often indulge in a little karaoke at her house, she told Daybreak yesterday: 'I'm a frustrated popstar aren't I, so we've done many duets in the lounge.'
Asked whether she would return to the morning show to perform with Rylan, she added: 'Do you know what, I will, but I'm better than Rylan! No, I'm only joking, I'm not really.'
The mum-of-three has even been turning up to The X Factor hopefuls' headquarters in central London, where she was spotted in Rylan's room by the boys from Union J.
Jaymi told Heatworld: 'We got in from rehearsals last night at about midnight and we were like, "Where is everyone?"' We went in Rylan's room and Katie Price was sat on the bed just chilling.'
Meanwhile it has emerged that half of this year's batch of wannabes were rooted out by researchers on the show.
Jahmene Douglas and MK1 are among those who were approached to audition.
Jahmene was invited to perform in front of the judges after posting a video of himself on YouTube while MK1's Simeon Dixon and Charlotte Rundle were tipped off by their record company.
But despite the 'fixing' claims, Nicole Scherzinger said the initiative was a necessary one because of the number of talent shows on TV nowadays.
'I think it's great that they've done that. It opens up the pool for wider talent,' she said.
Finalist Jade Ellis added: 'As someone who did just go to an open audition, I don't think it's any less fair.
'I'm quite happy to go into the competition with people who were scouted.'
