Getting drunk with Robert Pattinson seems to come with a health and safety risk after the lovesick actor whipped out his drill while hammered.
The downbeat Twilight star appeared to be taking out his frustration by using a power drill on a wooden table.
The star's bizarre boozy behaviour was shared with the web after his chum, Asa Keeler-Wolf, tweeted: 'Memories from last night: #RobertPattinson using #powertools NY never ceases to #surprise @Wooster St.'
The pal later revealed R-Patz was simply carving a permanent autograph for one of his friends.
In a second tweet, Keeler-Wolf wrote: 'Drilling his signature into my friend's table. A household tradition!'
The star's impromptu DIY session came after a night out with Sienna Miller on Friday.
Rob, who is best friends with Tom Sturridge – father of Si's baby girl, Marlowe – had taken the new mum to New York's Monkey Bar in midtown Manhattan.
Aside from defacing furniture, R-Patz says the price of his fame and the scandal surrounding Stewart's affair with director Rupert Sanders, is 'a price too high to pay'.
The couple are rumoured to have patched things up, but will reportedly snub the Rome film festival – along with the rest of the Twilight cast.
On fame, the 26-year-old said: 'I lost what I cherished the most - my freedom. Some told me that it's the price for success.
'I'm sorry to disagree but I feel like it's a price too high to pay.'
Happy to kiss goodbye to the couple's Twilight mania when the final film comes out next month, he told Star Club magazine: 'It's strange, I felt like releasing a big "phew" of relief but at the same time I felt sad.
'For now, I know that I'm successful. Will it last? I have no idea, but if tomorrow I encounter movie failures, I won't cry about it.'
