Carolynne Poole has vowed never to return to X Factor after she was controversially booted off the show on Sunday.
Carolynne appeared on last year's series of the talent contest, narrowly missing out on the live shows stage when mentor Louis Walsh sent her packing at judges' houses.
But speaking today on ITV1's Daybreak she said she won't be making a return for a third year running as she revealed plans to go back to America to concentrate on her song-writing.
'I couldn't put myself through that again, it's taken years off my life already,' she said. 'I'm going to get myself to America and do some more song writing, so get back on the horse.'
The final decision last night was left to the number of votes Carolynne and Rylan Clark received from the public after Walsh's decision to abstain sent the result show to deadlock.
But it has now emerged that Louis may have been receiving advice from a producer during Carolynne's performance, sparking speculation about a possible fix.
As well as admitting she is 'cross' about the way in which she left this year's X Factor, the country singer said she 'hadn't had a chance to properly cry yet,' following the results show.
'I'm still gutted - I haven't had a chance to have a proper cry yet to be honest.
'I am cross, yes, but I guess it's just the nature of the beast, it's The X Factor,' she added.
Her mentor Gary Barlow was also furious over the controversy, storming off the stage after it was announced Rylan would live to fight another week on the show.
Carolynne spoke of his anger too, adding: 'He was fuming. He really was really cross.
'I didn't get a chance to speak immediately with him because people wanted us both here there and everywhere, so he said he'd chat to me later.'
Carolynne took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support and to apologise for 'letting them down' last night.
'Sorry for letting u all down x,' she tweeted following last night's show, before this morning adding: 'Thank you all for all your lovely comments, really do mean a lot to me & are keeping me focused on the bigger picture. Love ya's xxx.'
