Angry Twitter users have taken to the site to express their disbelief after The X Factor's controversial result, which saw Rylan Clark saved while Carolynne Poole was sent home.
Frankie Cocozza - who was dropped from the live shows last year, and went on to finish second in Celebrity Big Brother - made his feelings known after a result which saw Carolynne Poole sent home instead of Rylan Clark, after Louis Walsh controversially sent the vote to deadlock.
'I'm pretty sure the X Factor just showed the whole country how set up it is,' Frankie said of the outcome. 'Not that we didn't know that anyway. The producers f****d it.'
Others also took to the microblogging site to voice their feelings and express their disbelief at the outcome, which occurred after Walsh spent ages mulling over his decision - and at one point apparently saying he wanted to save Carolynne.
The subsequent result - which saw Carolynne lose on the strength of the public vote - led to Gary walking out and the audience booing, before Rylan began trending on Twitter.
'Omg I cannot believe xfactor.. No wonder they have lost their viewers!' tweeted one user while another added, 'Gary did the right thing by walking off.'
Another user suggested: 'This guy just wants to be famous...he's not interested in singing!', while a fellow tweeter, sticking up for Barlow, added, 'Gary. Was. P****d. Lmao I don't blame him. Rylan sucks how did he even make it to the live shows? It's a SINGING competition.'
However the 23-year-old did have his supporters, with one saying he 'might not be THE best singer, but he puts on a bloody good show. It's disgusting how people could boo him'
And another fan of the model said, i really like Rylan he's such a nice lad stop hating idiots!!!'
Meanwhile, Rylan also took to Twitter after the show to air his thoughts on Barlow storming off set after he was saved by the public vote.
'The fact that Gary walked out says everything,' he said. 'I shall not forgive him for that ever.'
Earlier he also called the Take That singer a 'disgrace'.
