I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of here contestants are in for a real treat this year as it has been revealed that shark's brain is on the menu.

The gross delicacy will be served up in the Bushtucker Trial most celebrities dread – the one where they eat a range of unappealing jungle foods.

This particular task is famed for its sick-making options, that have included kangaroo testicles and penis, kangaroo vagina parts, witchetty grubs, roasted tarantulas, mealworms, green ants and crocodile penis.

But now bosses appear to have taking it a step further as it is claimed shark brains will be added to the list.

A source told The Sun: 'Every year we need to come up with something so disgusting it defines the final bushtucker feast.

'Shark's brains are not what you call a delicacy, as they look disgusting and don't taste particularly nice.'

A host of celebrities have been lined up to be taking part, with nobody yet confirmed.

Among those rumoured to be heading to the jungle are former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan, Birds Of A Feather actress Linda Robson, darts legend Eric Bristow, ex-EastEnder Ricky Groves and former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts.

Show producers are also reportedly hoping to secure some Olympic stars for a jungle stint, with Rebecca Adlington and Bradley Wiggins on the list of rumoured names.

The line up is expected to be confirmed next week.

This year's series kicks off on Sunday November 11 and will run for three weeks.
