Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly set to return to The X Factor after impressing Simon Cowell - and is said to be planning to move to London as a result.
Although the line-up for the 2013 series has yet to be determined, the Pussycat Dolls singer - who has been mentoring the boys category - is said to have been a hit with Cowell and show producers.
And although no decision has yet been reached on next year's judges, insiders have said she is the one most likely to return.
'It is fair to say that Simon and the production team have been thrilled with Nicole's performance. She has been absolutely great,' a source told The Sun.
'Simon is a huge fan of hers and the production team think she has been a revelation.
'There won't be any decision on the make-up of the 2013 panel until next year but she has certainly made a good impression. Simon is really up for her coming back.'
Scherzinger's popularity on the UK version of the show comes despite her being axed from the US equivalent - along with singer Paula Abdul - after just one series.
However she has fared better on this side of the pond, and was until Rylan's departure last night the only mentor who had yet to lose a single act.
Two of her contestants - James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas - are strongly tipped to make it to the final on December 8.
And Scherzinger has hinted that she might make a permanent move to London, saying: 'I am loving it so much that I am thinking about moving here next year.'
The future of the judging panel remains uncertain, with suggestions that Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and even Louis Walsh - who has appeared in all nine series of the show - could be in the firing line as Cowell attempts to 'freshen up the panel'.
There is also speculation that the mogul could return to the show in a bid to boost the audience after this year's disappointing ratings.
