He may have just been booted off the X Factor but that hasn't stopped Rylan Clark from plotting his next path to stardom – Eurovision.
The 24-year-old revealed his ambition in a tell-all interview with Metro in which he also claimed he would sleep with a woman to start a family despite being gay.
'If the country wanted me to represent them (at Eurovision) then I'd happily fly the flag,' he said, urging the public to vote for him.
Rylan then gave his surprising prediction about who could win The X Factor – and it won't make easy reading for boss Simon Cowell. He backed 'cheesy' singer Chris Maloney to come out on top and go for the Christmas No.1 song.
'I think he's got a very, very strong chance of winning this show,' Rylan said of his former rival.
Hinting at backstage tensions between the pair, he added: 'I didn't come on this show to speak ill of anyone else.
'I'm just glad I've stayed true to myself, I know by going forward now in this industry you don't get anywhere by slagging people off. I'm sure records will be set straight.'
Rylan even had praise for his nemesis, judge Gary Barlow.
He claimed the tension between the two encouraged viewers to keep him in the contest for so long.
'Gary has single-handedly kept me in this show, I think just with the whole me and Gary situation,' he said.
As for his now former mentor, Nicole Scherzinger, he was a big fan. 'At boot camp I think everyone was a little bit worried about Nicole, you know the whole American thing again, the Kelly Rowland thing, how's she going to do, stuff like that,' he admitted.
'The second I got through I think I was Nicole's fast pass into her being herself.
'I think we've both had a turn around on this show, I think she's become the new nation's sweetheart.'
In family affairs, he said he was desperate for children and was prepared to do it the old-school way.
'I've never been with a girl. It's not my thing but I'm not ruling it out,' he told Now magazine.
