Strictly Come Dancing viewers took to Twitter to blast Victoria Pendleton for her 'beyond annoying' emotional outbursts after she left the show.
The Olympic cycling champion - whose appearance on the show had been punctuated by tearful outbursts - seemed emotional once again as she and partner Brendan Cole lost out to Michael Vaughan on Sunday night's dance-off.
And she once again held back the tears as she described her eight weeks on the show as a 'fantastic experience'.
Pendleton's departure came after she sobbed backstage on Saturday night's show following a salsa which won scathing criticism from the judges, and saw her bottom of the scoreboard with just 21 points.
Craig Revel Horwood told her the 'prop candy sticks on the dancefloor had more fluidity,' while Bruno Tonioli was similarly cutting, saying: 'When you stand still you are fabulous.. You have so much to offer and you don't deliver.'
And as the tearful cyclist insisted, 'All I can do is my best,' viewers were quick to take to Twitter to criticise her habit of turning on the waterworks, with one saying: 'I swear whiny Victoria Pendleton best get voted out this wk on Strictly SHE CANNOT DANCE her constant crying is BEYOND ANNOYING!!"
Another added: 'Victoria Pendleton. A good looking girl. A very athletic body. An Olympic legend. A truly awful, awful dancer.'
Even Brendan Cole seemed to have enough of Pendleton's histrionics, and was reportedly heard telling her: 'No more tears. Come on, look alive.'
He later called his time on the show with her an 'emotional roller-coaster,' adding: 'From the start I was so excited to be paired with Victoria and I haven't changed my mind - she has been a diamond to work with.'
Seven celebrities, including fellow Olympian Louis Smith, now remain on the BBC One show.
