Helen Flanagan relished in her new-found freedom and stripped off for a relaxing jungle shower while her I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! campmate Hugo Taylor attempted his first bushtucker trial in her absence.

Helen made the most of not having her fellow celebrities' rumbling stomachs on her conscience while Made In Chelsea's Hugo psyched himself up for the impending challenge, even saying he was 'quite looking forward to it'.

Dubbed the cleanest member in camp by his peers, Hugo was determined to get in the right mindset before he set off to meet presenters Ant and Dec for his first bushtucker trial, called 'savage sewer'.

'I can tell it's going to be absolutely down right dirty filthy and abandon my priority for cleanliness,' the reality TV star said beforehand.

'You've got to embrace the disgusting that's going to be the way to go. I'm not a clean freak. I do like to be clean,' he added.

'What I said to myself is the filth washes off. It's not going to last forever.'

Fellow contestants Eric Bristow and David Haye then walked him to the bridge and as he headed over it, the latter joked: 'I'm just praying his clothes don't get dirty.'

Eric then quipped: 'He'll have to iron them later.'

Hugo was joined by pythons, toads, mud crabs, spiders and rats in the sewer chamber but viewers will have to wait until tonight's show to find out how he fared.

But Helen will be in good spirits no matter how many stars he manages to collect simply because she has been able to sit this one out.

The soap star said afterwards: 'It was just a massive relief for me and for camp. It was nice for someone else to do it.'

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! airs tonight at 8pm on ITV1.
