Lady Gaga has turned to liquid lunches – and breakfasts and dinners – after piling on the pounds.
The singer's camp insisted she had got her 'little waist' back by downing smoothies and soup.
Her trainer, Harley Pasternak, boasted: 'Have you seen her lately? She looks phenomenal. She had a bad day.'
Revealing the secret behind her new slim figure, he said: 'She loves her blender and her smoothies. She loves soups. Pureed soups.
'She is really active on stage. She is active throughout the day. We use resistance training for her as a way to sculpt and tone her body.'
The fitness guru also played down unflattering pictures of 26-year-old Gaga on her Born This Way Ball tour, insisting: 'She was bloated and they took a bad picture of her.'
Gaga has previously admitted that she suffered from eating disorders when she was 15 and has not taken criticism of her weight kindly.
Pointing out that other celebrities have larger waistbands, she said: 'Adele is bigger than me, how come nobody says anything about it?'
She also hit back at society as a whole for focusing on her battle with the bulge.
'Well, I don't really care if they think I'm fat, because, quite honestly, I did gain about 30lbs,' she said.
'To all the girls that think you're ugly because you're not a size zero, you're the beautiful one. It's society who's ugly.'
Meanwhile, the extrovert New Yorker was happy to put it all on show again this week.
She released a teaser clip for her new single Cake by simulating sex with a dessert in her underwear.
'The real CAKE isn't HAVING what you want, It's DOING what you want,' she helpfully explained.
