Michelle Heaton has thanked her fans for their support and well-wishes as she recovers in hospital after undergoing a double mastectomy.
The former Liberty X singer revealed she is 'very sore and disorientated' as she told Twitter followers her operation went well.
Michelle, 33, revealed in October that she was going to undergo the procedure after she discovered she was a carrier of the BRCA2 gene, meaning she had an 80 per cent chance of getting breast cancer.
And the mum-of-one has been keeping her devoted fans up-to-date ever since.
Yesterday, as she recovered from the op, she tweeted: 'Thank u for all your lovely tweets. It went well, but I'm obviously very sore & disorientated still. I have the best doctors & husband Eva!x'
Michelle had also tweeted before going into hospital on Tuesday: 'Thank u so much 4 your well wishes. Sorry I can't get back 2 u all, though I have read every1. On way 2hospital now. Love u all, Michelle xx.'
The reality TV star gave birth to her first baby with husband Hugh Hanley in January this year.
And on Monday, she posted an adorable snap of the pair cuddling on her sofa as she told fans it would be the last snuggle she'd get with her little bundle until she recovered from the operation.
She wrote: 'My last cuddle with #babyfaith before my op.. dont know when she will be able to cuddle upto me again.. big day 2moz X.'
Last month Michelle appeared on the Lorraine show to talk about her decision to undergo the double mastectomy.
She said: 'I think having such a high risk of breast cancer – albeit I know in my lifetime - so right now I know it's not particularly 80 per cent but every day that goes past I'm constantly feeling my breasts.
'I'm looking for things that aren't even there, I'm worried, I'm looking for side effects and I just think that preventative surgery is the best option for me.
'It's not for everybody, but talking to other women and talking to people who have gone through it and talking to women who didn't have the preventative surgery but later contracted cancer, is enough for me to realise that this is the best option for me. So I'm hoping that it can be done sooner rather than later so I can just get on with things.'
