Exclusive: Nicky Byrne has said that his Strictly Come Dancing colleague Michael Vaughan is resorting to some bizarre tactics to proceed on the show.
Speaking to Metro backstage at this weekend's show, he revealed that the cricketer would be able to conceal some of his moves from the judges thanks to the addition of dry ice.
'Michael tells me they're putting steam, that fake dry ice, on the floor to hide his feet,' Nicky said, 'so that's a bit of an unfair advantage isn't it?'
However Vaughan defended his actions, joking that he had even 'been to bed with Craig' in a bid to further his way through the competition, and adding, 'if I were Nicky I'd try something'.
Meanwhile the singer has admitted that he employed a few moves of his own when it came to trying to avoid the spray tan booth backstage at the show.
The booth is brought in every Friday to top up the tans of the contestants and dancers - but Byrne admitted he wasn't too keen at first.
'Week one they told me I had to do it and I escaped, week two they were locking all the doors and I had it done,' he said jokingly.
'But you do come around to it and you do enjoy it. You've got to embrace it.'
