EXCLUSIVE: Surging X Factor star Rylan Clark says it will make 'TV history' if he duets with his judging nemesis Gary Barlow in the final of the talent contest.
The eccentric dance floor hope has promised fans he will subject Barlow to performing 'Rylan style' after weeks of punishing critique from the Take That star.
'If I was to get to the final I'd be honoured to duet with Barlow,' the cheeky 24-year-old told Metro.
'I think that would be a television moment. It would definitely go down in history if me and "Borelow" duet together, 100 per cent.'
The unlikely collaboration is becoming an increasing reality after he and fellow 'Marmite' act Christopher Maloney, 34, outlasted favourite Ella Henderson in a huge TV upset on Sunday.
The flamboyant personality says Barlow, 41, has already forgiven him after he recently gave the judge some weighty backchat over his past battle with the bulge.
'I've spoken to Gary. Gary loved it, he's banter Barlow, I love Gary,' Rylan added.
'He's the sort of person that if he dishes it out he's got to expect it back and he totally gets that.'
There will be no love lost between him and Gary's protégé, Christopher, should Rylan out the nervous Liverpool hope.
The pair are said to have 'clashed' and even refused to share the same dressing room.
If Rylan doesn't walk off with The X Factor crown he is tipping James Arthur, 24, or Jahmene Douglas, 22, for the top.
And on Ella's departure, he said: 'It was very bittersweet. I love Ella, she's like my sister but I'm happy I'm through.'
