Rylan Clark might have knocked Kye Sones out of the competition but the controversial X Factor hopeful is the least likely to make it to the final, according to bookies.

The bubbly 24-year-old is famed for his outlandish dance routines, daring song choices and garish outfits - as well as his feuds with head honcho Gary Barlow - but he's the least likely contender of winning a place in this year's final.

Bookies William Hill have given him 12/1 odds of being in the final three, instead favouring Ella Henderson with odds of 1/14, Jahmene Douglas who has odds of 1/12 and James Arthur whose odds stand at 1/2, as being certainties for the final.

Rylan's slim chances are followed by District3 who have 10/1 odds, Christopher Maloney who has been given odds of 4/1 and Union J who has odds of 2/1.

However, Rylan still isn't the favourite to get the boot in this weekend's show, with Louis Walsh's boyband District 3 having odds of 2/1 compared to Rylan who has been given odds of 9/4.

Clark has so far managed to kick two of Gary's acts out of the competition.

As well as Kye last weekend, he knocked out Carolynne Poole in the first of the live shows.

William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said of Rylan's success: 'Rylan definitely has the public on his side and despite making a very powerful enemy in Gary, he seems almost certain to stay for a few weeks yet – possibly even until the final week.'

Meanwhile, Rylan's 'enemy' Gary won't be too happy as he's been given the highest odds at 1/2 of being the first mentor to lose all of his acts.

While Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh all started the competition with three acts each, Gary started with four after winning wildcard Christopher Maloney.

Now he only has Maloney left and has been given the lowest chance of keeping him in the running.

Nicole, meanwhile, will be happy as she stands at 8/11 as favourite judge to win the series.
