Cheryl Cole has admitted that she went for sexual health tests after her former husband Ashley Cole cheated on her.

In her new biography, Cheryl: My Story, she tells of her heartache after her record company rang her to say that Ashley had been having affairs dating back to December 2007.
The former X Factor judge said: 'His infidelity had been putting me at risk for a long time. I had to put my mind at rest.'
She recollects screaming at him after the revelations: 'I hope she's worth it. It's the end of your marriage. It's f***ed.'

The Chelsea footballer responded by saying that he was too drunk on the night in question to remember what had happened.
After initially telling him that the marriage was over, Cheryl gave him another chance, until details of affairs with four more women emerged.
In the book the songstress from Newcastle describes 'sadness, physical pain, sickness and fury like I'd never experienced.'

She goes on to say that the strain of the breakup nearly drove her to a nervous breakdown, but the Call My Name singer has found love again with dancer Tre Holloway.
Cheryl is currently on the Ireland leg of her first arena tour as a stand-alone singer.
