Fabrice Muamba has signed up to this year's Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
The former footballer narrowly escaped death just eight months ago when he collapsed during FA Cup game after suffering a cardiac arrest.
But the 24-year-old is now fighting fit and has partnered up with dancing pro Aliona Vilani, 28, as they prepare to go into battle for the one-off episode due to air on Christmas Day.
But Muamba, who was fitted with a pacemaker after his terrifying ordeal this summer - has confessed that just a week's worth of rehearsals have knocked him for six.
'This is definitely the hardest thing I have done since my recovery,' he revealed.
'I have a new respect for dancers. I have always been a massive fan of Strictly so it is a pleasure to take part,' he told the Daily Mail.
The ex Bolton Wanderers midfielder went on to explain that viewers don't need to worry about him collapsing on the dancefloor as doctors have given him the all clear.
He added: 'I'm feeling good now. I've already been training with Aliona for a week and there are no complaints.'
