Helen Flanagan has hit out at her fellow I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! campmates who think she is ditzy and stupid, insisting she only wears make-up because it gives her a confidence boost.
As they chatted around camp, TV chef Rosemary Shrager took it upon herself to try and get the Coronation Street star to ditch the cosmetics.
After telling Helen to 'never, ever change,' she told her: 'The only thing I would like to take that mirror away from you! Though you aren't doing it so much, cut it down a bit, it's hard work for you, think about it.
But keen to make sure she didn't take offence, Rosemary added: 'I think you are brilliant and what I'm trying to say is that looks aren't everything, it's what's inside your heart that is important.'
But Helen was quick to defend her cosmetic routine and she insisted she's not as dim as people may think.
She said: 'People think I am ditzy and stupid but I'm not, people don't take me seriously but having make-up makes me feel more confident.'
But with our without her daily essentials, Helen reckons her stint in the jungle has done her the world of good.
She continued: 'I'm definitely more confident, I used to have really bad anxiety, but after being here among cameras 24/7 for over two weeks I could not be any more confident.
'What have I got to hide? Everyone has seen me for who I am, everyone has seen my at the worst moment of my life really honest, crying hysterically because I've been so scared.'
She added: 'I really don't care what anyone thinks about me now. It is humiliating enough that when I get out of here, there will be nothing that phases me. Nothing will embarrass me or phase me which I think is great.'
Reflecting on their chat, Rosemary later told the Bush Telegraph that Helen could well be a serious contender on the show.
She said: 'She's got a lot to her that girl, I really like her because yes she is ditzy but she's not stupid that girl.
'Her confidence is growing every day, if she has the opportunity to stay in I think she's got a lot to show and she'll pull it out of the bag.'
Elsewhere on the show, Rosemary exchanged some awkward words with Hugo Taylor, who wrongly guessed she was 63 years old when in fact she's only 60.
As they hung around the creek while Rosemary took a quick dip, she told Hugo she was 'getting over some major things' in the jungle.
The Made In Chelsea star replied: 'People your age don't like to be taken out of their comfort zone. They are very set in their ways.'
And although Rosemary agreed, she insisted she 'wasn't very old'.
When Hugo guessed she was 63, a shocked Rosemary exclaimed: 'No, I'm five years older than Eric.'
Hugo later admitted: 'I really put my foot in it. Jungle lesson never guess a women's age.
'I feel terrible because I was trying to be complimentary. I guessed her age as being 66 years old so I said 63 years old, but it turns out she's younger.'
