Katy Perry, Beyonce Knowles and her hubby Jay-Z have each done their bit to ensure Barack Obama comes out on top in the US election.

Katy uploaded a snap of herself and her 91-year-old grandmother posing with Barack Obama this morning along with the caption: 'May I exclusively present what might be the cutest photo ever taken: Me, Gma & POTUS [President Of The United States]! Happy voting!'

The California Gurls hitmaker has been doing her best to drum up support for the US president ahead of the election this evening in a number of sexy frocks.

Last night the 28-year-old star donned a blue skin-tight dress with Obama's campaign slogan 'Forward' emblazoned across it as she performed at a rally in Milwaukee.

Last week she performed a gig in a white number inspired by an election ballot slip.

Elsewhere in the election campaign, Beyonce has published a handwritten letter to Obama on her website.

'Everyday we see your heart and character, inspiring all of us to give more of ourselves,' she raved.

'You are the leader to take us from where we are to where we need to be.

'You are the reason my daughter and nephew will grow up knowing that they can truly be ANYTHING they want to be.

'All my respect and adoration, Beyonce.'

Meanwhile, Jay-Z performed at Obama's rally in the 'battleground' state of Ohio last night to a 15,000 strong crowd.

The US rap star reworked his hit 99 Problems to poke fun at Republican candidate Mitt Romney, changing the chorus to 'I got 99 problems but Mitt ain't one'.

Bruce Springsteen was also at the gig drumming up support.
