Shakira's love life could come at a heavy price after her ex-lover slapped her with a £63million lawsuit over 'broken promises'.
Lawyer Antonio de la Rua is suing the hip-shaking star over claims their business partnership broke down after their relationship ended.
He has accused the Colombian beauty of breaking a promise to continue paying him a share of her business profits and filed legal documents at Manhattan supreme court in New York.
He claims the singer asked him to take over 'the business behind the Shakira brand' and went on to secure her a £188million deal with tour promoters Live Nation.
He was fired in 2011, a year after their 10-year romance ended, according to the New York Post.
After the split, the Hips Don't Lie singer vowed to remain friends and continue as business partners.
The 35-year-old is now dating Spanish footballer Gerard Pique and the couple are expecting a baby together.
