Victoria Pendleton was left emotional once again on Strictly Come Dancing as her salsa with partner Brendan Cole failed to make an impact with the judges.
The Olympic cyclist, who has struggled with some of the routines, sobbed backstage after being subjected to a series of scathing comments from the quartet, having failed to impress them with her routine to the Robbie Williams hit Candy.
And the notoriously catty Craig Revel Horwood was particularly cutting, telling her, 'The prop candy sticks had more fluidity than you,' - although Len Goodman was a little less curt, saying, 'You came out and worked it - it needs a bit more oomph, that's all.'
Nonetheless Pendleton slumped to the bottom of the scoreboard with just 21 points - with the audience booing as Craig gave her only four.
Afterwards she admitted she did not know whether to laugh or cry, admitting, 'All I can do is my best.'
It was the second week in a row that Pendleton had failed to find favour with the judges, finishing joint last the previous weekend for her paso doble with Cole - although the public vote kept her in the competition.
In a week which also saw disappointing reviews for Louis Smith, Michael Vaughan and even Lisa Riley - whose rumba was described by Bruno as 'nice but not overwhelming' - there was an unexpected triumph for Nicky Byrne.
Having narrowly escaped elimination last weekend, the Westlife singer upped his game and soared up the scoreboard with 36 for his Charleston, to finish joint second with Dani Harmer and just one point behind Denise Van Outen at the top of the scoreboard once again.
'You were in the bottom two last week,' Len Goodman reminded the Westlife singer. 'I tell you what, you'll be in the top two this week.'
Kimberley Walsh also fared well, performing a tango with Pasha Kovalev which won rave reviews from Craig. 'The story was brilliantly set up, well done,'
