After a quick fake tan once over, Helen made the wrong decision of asking her fellow campmates how she looked.

'Do I look really brown,' she asked Ashley.

'Your face is browner than your body,' the former Pussycat Doll honestly replied.

Charlie later commented: 'It does look a little bit ridiculous she looks like an oompa loompa, she looks ridiculous.'

Talking in the Bush Telegraph, Helen said: 'I like to put a bit of fake tan on and I wish the other camp mates would loosen me a bit of stick, I'm not doing anyone any harm, I'm just applying a fake tan.

Back in camp, Helen said: 'I always go for spray tans every two nights, I pay for it, it's my money, not my boyfriend's.'

Continued to divulge her pampering routine, she added: 'I've never learned to blow dry my own hair. When I used to work on Coronation Street I used to go into make up in the morning and have my hair blow dried and so now I prefer other people to do it.'

After a few chortles around camp, she added: 'I'm really independent, I just prefer other people to do it, it is independent and if you can afford to pay for it then that's fine."

An unimpressed Eric replied: 'Well I hope you carry on earning money then girl.'

Helen snapped back: 'You are saying that I'm not independent when I'm really independent, I just like having my hair blow dried. It doesn't mean I'm a spoilt cow.'

'Ooh don't put words into my mouth,' Eric teased. 'You aren't independent if you can't dry your own hair.'

Annoyed by his remarks, Helen said: 'Honestly mind your own business, you are such a strange creature, you are such a strange specimen, honestly such a strange cretin, honesty bore off.'

Reflecting on their spat, she asked him later on: 'We're friends really aren't we Eric?'

To which he snapped back: 'We're just companions in the jungle, we're not friends.'
