The Wanted have vowed to track down One Direction in New York to sort out their ongoing feud and for all.
Singer Jay McGuiness told Metro he's on a mission to straighten things out with their rivals after accusing 1D of having a 'field day' talking about them.
'We're going to see them in New York. We're doing a gig with them and I know they've had a bit of a field day recently talking a little bit of tongue-in-cheek smack talk so when we see each other in New York we'll see if there's actually any issues or not,' the 22-year-old told Guilty Pleasures.
The curly haired lad hit back after 1D's Louis Tomlinson took the gloves off in the week and said: 'There was one press story where they were bad-mouthing us. I thought maybe that had been twisted. But then there ended up being about ten stories and they've been caught on camera doing little things. I just think, "If you want to create that rivalry, then let's do it."'
Attacking the I Found You singers further 20-year-old Tomlinson stopped himself when he said: 'I'm not going to shy away from it because that isn't the person I am…I was going to say something rude then. Or something sexual. But that's something The Wanted would say.'
Responding last night, Jay insisted his band's wisecracks weren't personal but is now ready to sort it out boyband-to-boyband.
'We don't see them enough for there to actually be a personal vendetta or anything but I think in the chart you're always going to go up against people that are similar to you,' he said.
'I don't know what he was talking about but when I see him we'll have to just see.'
Their row was sparked many moons ago when The Wanted's Max George dubbed 1D just 'faces' before they took America by storm.
